Autumn 18 Update

There have been several highlights for Whiterocks Stud and Feed during autumn, but by far the most exciting and momentous has been completing and moving into our brand new house that we have built on our block of land near weston. It has been a two year journey to get to this point and it is surreal and wonderful to be finally living on site.

Another highlight has been attending my first (of many I hope) warmblood foal inspection with Zuma in March. It was a great learning experience and was such a thrill for Zuma to get such a great score and to come away with his first sash. This was quickly followed by Zuma being sold pre-weaning to the Benzies in Auckland. This is such a super professional home for him to go to and I am so excited to see what he and Caitlin can achieve together.

On the feed side of things demand for our simple range of feed products is continuing to grow. Andrew has made about 1400 bales of conventional baleage this season and has sold a considerable amount already. We are getting some really good feedback from clients who are finding that our baleage is a cool conditioning feed that the horses love. The rest of our range is also selling well and due to demand we are now doing a second delivery trip to central otago every month.

We are now in winter mode after a particularly busy and exciting autumn and looking forward to what the nextseason may bring.
