Summer 2018/19

Summer was all about getting mares in Foal.   New mare Kate and Smitten both played the game and settled to Frozen semen but alas it wasn’t to be for Elsa who didn’t settle to first insemination and then threw a bad cycle with an anovulatory follicle.  As it was getting later in the season the decision was made to call it quits and start again with her next season.  But on the up side I have two quality TB mares in foal to Falsterbo.  Falsterbo is a stunning licensed hanoverian stallion who has competed at Grand Prix Dressage and unusually for a dressage bred stallion showjumped competitively up 1m20.  He is by the supersire Fidermark and out of a Brentano II mare.  I am very excited to see these two foals arrive next spring.  They will both be for sale.  Expressions of interest welcome.

Demand for our feed products continued throughout summer and when we weren’t delivering feed we were flat out making hay, including some pure timothy hay from the 2ha we had planted out in the spring.

We were also very proud to continue our relationship with Central Otago Dressage sponsoring classes at both the spring and autumn tournaments.  We also sponsored classes for SCNO showjumping in Waimate.

Beautiful Falsterbo
